Gmf_xla_extract_lines Table Showing Wrong Lot Information for Resource Transactions and Batch Closing Event (Doc ID 2211914.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 15, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, Subledger Accounting

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
The gmf_xla_extract_lines table is showing the wrong lot numbers for Batch Closing events.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Since, by current system design, all posting for event type Batch Close, the inventory_item_id is populated with value 0 (zero) in the gmf_xla_extract_headers table.

So, there is no point in having the LOT_NUMBER being populated (as well) in the gmf_xla_extract_lines table, since there is no way to link that lot number to a specific item.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Perform a check of the gmf_xla_extract_lines table (FIle: gmf_xla_extract_lines_EBSD.xlsx) and see it is showing the wrong lot numbers for Batch Close Variance (CLS) events.
2. See that Lot 'U010024' represents to item 'VV-00132' which is not at all related to closed Production Batches: 1110000015 / 1110000016 / 1110000017, Product: VV-00127, Ingredient: VV-00126, as expected.
