When attempting to generate logic for a model in Oracle Configurator Developer, the following error occurs. Reviewing the model structure, there exists an item that's present twice in the model even though one of these duplicated components has been end dated and should no longer be part of the model. These items do not have overlapping effectivity dates, and one of the components is no longer effective.

Model logic generated successfully with warnings. Model Logic Generation ID: <ID>

1. Warning (38) Unable to resolve Model node reference <Model Component> because it is ambiguous. Rule '<Rule Name>' ignored.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Oracle Configurator Developer responsibility
2. In the model repository, navigate to the impacted model
3. Select 'Generate Logic'
4. Warning occurs indicating rules associated with this item are ignored.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot design rules for this component as they will always be ignored.
