Symptoms

Attempting to create a routing for a part with multiple item segments fails with error.

What is working
This works if the item has just one segment. When the item has multiple segments, then this does not work.

Checked the following
The item setup includes:
* purchased item
* BOM enabled
* Build in WIP is enabled
(However, when try to create the routing for the item, that item is not available in the list of values of the routing form.)

ERROR
APP-FND-01048: Use of this combination restricted by WHERE clause '(bom_enabled_flag = 'Y' and bom_item_type <> 3 and pick_components_flag = 'N'
and not exists (Select null from bom_operational_routings bo..)

STEPS
1. Navigate to Inventory > Items > Master item form : Create asset activity (item used in Enterprise Asset Management [EAM])
2. Navigate to Bills > Routings > Routings : Try to create maintenance routing.
3. Enter part number and tab.
4. Receive error.
* Cursor never leaves the field. System does not allow to enter item number.

Changes

Change from single segment item to multi-segment part numbers.
