Create EAM Work Order With A BOM Which Has A Negative Quantity (Doc ID 2220962.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, ENV

When attempting to work order with with a specific asset number, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Cannot create work order.

  1. Quantity per Assembly -1 is invalid.
  2. This record with Inventory Item Id xxxxx received an error status since a severe error occurred in the material requirement while performing attribute validations.
  3. Quantity per Assembly -1 is invalid.
  4. This record with Inventory Item Id xxxxx received an error status since a severe error occurred in the material requirement while performing attribute validations.
  5. Quantity per Assembly -1 is invalid.
  6. This record with Inventory Item Id xxxxx received an error status since a severe error occurred in the material requirement while performing attribute validations.
  7. Quantity per Assembly -1 is invalid.
  8. This record with Inventory Item Id xxxxx received an error status since a severe error occurred in the material requirement while performing attribute validations. 

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Responsibility: Enterprise Asset Manager.
  2. Navigation: Work Orders-> Work Orders.
  3. Create work order with specified asset number.
  4. Save the work order.
  5. The aforementioned error occurs.

 

Due to this issue, users cannot work order with certain asset numbers.
