We have applied a number of development suggested CLM patches in order to support the federally mandated DATA Act enhancements.
After the patches, we are receiving NullPointerExceptions whenever attempting to add option lines or Sub-lines(SLIN).
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.NullPointerException on Option Line
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Go to CLM Contracting Professional > Buyer Work Center > Requisitions
2) Search for a Requisition in the Demand Workbench
3) Using the Document Builder, create a new Award from a single Requisition line
4) Go to the Lines tab on the new award and click on the Plus sign Icon under the "Options" column to create a new option line. You will receive a null pointer exception error and will be unable to add the option line.
This also occurs if you try to create a new SLIN by clicking on the plus sign in that column, or if you attempt to duplicate the line as a new one. You will received the same null pointer exception in each instance.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot add option lines or SLINs due to error.
CLM RUP4 has been in production since 2014. As per Doc ID 1133956.1, this is the latest RUP.
