Symptoms

When attempting to invoke E-business suite REST web service the following error occurs:

oracle.apps.fnd.login.LoginHelper.getConnection java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Remote JDBC disabled
at weblogic.rjvm.ResponseImpl.unmarshalReturn(ResponseImpl.java:237)
at weblogic.rmi.cluster
ClusterableRemoteRef.invoke(ClusterableRemoteRef.java:350)
at weblogic.rmi.cluster.ClusterableRemoteRef.invoke(ClusterableRemoteRef.java:261)
at weblogic.jdbc.common.internal.RmiDataSource_1036_WLStub.getConnection(Unknown Source)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

3. Observe the error whenever the REST web service is invoked.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot consume REST webservice from OSB.
