Incorrect Lease Policy Start Date When Insurance Restriction Expires During Contract Term (Doc ID 2229280.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Oracle Lease and Finance Management - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.5 version, Insurance Modules

If an Insurance Restriction expires during a contract term the Policy created for the contract starts on the contract start date.

Expect the Policy Start Date to be after the Exclusion End Date as the Policy is excluded up to that date.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create an Insurance Restriction that expires in the near future.
Risk Management > Insurance Programs > Insurance Restrictions
2. Book a Contract using an Asset that uses the Category in the Restriction and that
has a Term that includes the Exclusion End Date.
For example, Exclusion end date is 30-Sep-2016 and Contract is effective for calendar year 2016.
3. Run Automatic Insurance before the Exclusion End Date and the request output
will indicate "Contract is excluded because of Insurance Restriction" which is expected.
4. Run Automatic Insurance after the Exclusion End Date and the request output will
indicate that a Policy was created for the contract, with a start date equal to the
  contract start date
