Batch Element Entry (BEE) Validation Control Does Not Calculate the Same Sum as in the WebADI BEE Spreadsheet (Doc ID 2231133.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

BEE batches are created and uploaded from the BEE Spreadsheet Interface. When running the BEE validation process, the control total is not calculating the same sum as in the BEE spreadsheet and causes an error.  It seems to be a rounding issue since the difference is only one or two cents each time.

Summation does not match control total. Sum of Hours = [##.##]. Control total = [##.##]

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter BEE lines in spreadsheet. Total of input value column is used for validation purposes.
2. Enter batch control total in the batch header based on the sum of the input value column in the spreadsheet
3. Run BEE in validation mode and get an error. Find that the amount calculated by the BEE process is off by .01 or .02
