Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.4 version, Miscellaneous Issues

When an order line for a Model item is cancelled, the delivery detail for the Configured (Star item) is not cancelled but remains in ‘Ready to Release’ status.
However, this delivery detail is not visible in the Shipping transaction form, but still exists in the backend WSH_Delivery_Details table in ‘Ready to Release’ status.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
If the order line is cancelled then the delivery details should be updated to ‘Cancelled’ status in the backend WSH_Delivery_Details table

Example:
--------------
Sales order 10011007.
Model item ACCD19 is order line 2.1.
When the Configured (Star item) was created (order line 2.1..0) and progressed this created the delivery detail 361674 in status "Ready to Release".
Then the Model was cancelled and this cancelled all the included items as well as the Configured (Star item).
However, even though the delivery detail 361674 no longer shows in the Shipping Transactions it still exists in the backend WSH_Delivery_Details table in ‘Ready to Release’ status.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create sales order for a model
2. Book the order and progress it so the Configured order line is created.
3. Create the Configured (Star item)
4. Cancel the Model
5. This cancels all the included items as well as the Configured (Star item).
6. However, even though the delivery detail 361674 no longer shows in the Shipping Transactions it still exists in the backend WSH_Delivery_Details table in ‘Ready to Release’ status.
