R12 E-Business Suite Concurrent Processing Failover Does Not Migrate GSM Services Like FNDOPP And FNDCPGSC When The TNS Listener Is Down And the OS Processes Are Killed (Doc ID 2234043.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 24, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Concurrent Processing - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

E-Business Suite R12 Concurrent Processing, Distributed Concurrent Processing (DCP) issues

During concurrent manager failover testing, FNDOPP and FNDCPGSC do not failover correctly in a parallel concurrent processing configuration (PCP) like the other concurrent managers.

The below steps were followed to test Concurrent failover on PCP, where FNDOPP AND FNDCPGSC did not failover successfully:

1. Confirmed FNDOPP, FNDCPGSC, and the other concurrent managers were processing on Node 1 (defined with primary Node as 'Node 1' and Secondary with 'Node 2').

2. Stop the TNS listener on Node 1 via the following steps :-

    > cd $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/
    > adalnctl.sh stop

3. Kill the associated manager processes on Node 1.

The FNDOPP and FNDCPGSC don’t failover (with status 0,1 on concurrent manager form), while the other concurrent managers move successfully from Node 1 to Node 2.
