Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to save a sales order line,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
Could not find a price list in Ordered UOM or Primary UOM

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Performed Steps 1 - 5 as mentioned on following note
How Can One Assign Item Categories From the Non-Default Category Set To a Modifier? <Document 1234464.1>
2. Added a price list line with Product Context = Item, Product Attribute = ,
Product value = Item category, UOM = EA , Primary UOM checked, Line Type = Price list line, Application Method = Unit Price
  a. Oracle Pricing Manager Responsibility
  b. Navigate To: Price List > Price List Setup
3. Created a sales order with 1 line, the inventory item has been assigned a category belonging to the non-default category set.
  a. Responsibility: Order Management Super User (or equivalent)
  b. Navigate to: Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
4. Pricing engine returns the following message
"Price not found for inventory item and UOM on price list"

WHAT DOES WORK?
--------------------------
Note: Setting up a modifier and adding a modifier line with this non-default category set as Product Attribute is being picked up
and applied by the pricing engine on the sales order as an adjustment. It is just the price list which is not working.
