Symptoms

When attempting to add more than 11 element entries to the Batch by Assignment, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------

"The requested page contains stale data. This error could be caused by the use of the browser's back button. (The back button). To proceed, please select the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Then, access the page again using the application's navigation controls (menu, links, and so on) instead of using the Browser's navigation controls such as the Back or Forward button."

 STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to EBS.
  2. Click on 'US XXX Field Manager Self Service Responsibility'.
  3. Click on Element entries function or PAY_BEE_SS.
  4. Click on Create Batch Button and user is directed to Create Batch page.
  5. Batch name is created.  Enter the effective date, select Batch By Assignment radio button and then click next button.  User will be taken to the Batch by Assignment page.
  6. Enter Assignment Number and enter element entries, as shown below.  Upon entering the 11th line, application throws the stale data error.

User is unaware of the limit and when entering the 11th entry, receives an error that does not make sense, and is quite alarming.
Due to this issue, user has to re-enter multiple entries as the application does not appropriately identify the error, nor is there a way to go back and no way to save the entries, hence, everything that has been added is lost.
