Inter-Org Transfer Fails With "Receiving Transaction Manager Error" If Item Has Multiple Categories Assigned for the Purchasing Category Set (Doc ID 2237080.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to save an Inter-Organization (Inter-Org) Transfer where the item has multiple categories assigned for the Purchasing category set, the following error occurs:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

----------------------------

  1. Responsibility: Inventory Responsibility
  2. Transactions -> Inter-organization transfer
       - select type: Inter Organization Transfer, input item, subinventory, quantity
       - Save the Inter-Organization (Inter-Org) Transfer
  3. Error occurs

Enabling debug profiles and taking the debug logs, as per <Doc ID 299497.1>, can be noticed the following error in Inventory debug log file:
