Error On R12.2 Post Upgrade When Trying To Apply Prepayment "PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small"

On : 12.2.5 version, Tax Deducted at Source-Payables

Unable to apply Prepayment.This is observed on R12.2.5 instance 

where on trying to apply prepayment to the standard invoices , it is failing.

Encountered an error in JAI_AP_IDA_TRIGGER_DTC_PKG.BRIUD_DTC_T1 Error on ap_invoice_distributions_all : ORA-20007: Error - trigger ja_in_ap_aida_before_trg on ap_invoice_distributions_all : Error from jai_ap_dtc_generation_pkg.generate_dtc_invoices :ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Observed for prepayments which are created on R12.1.3 and on migrating to R12.2
when trying to get this applied to a standard invoice.

For these transactions the invoice length is greater than or equal to 50 Characters.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot apply prepayment and clear their pending transactions.
