Autocreate in Buyer Work Center (BWC) Ends in Error - Unexpected Error Occurred During Autocreate (Doc ID 2238628.1)

Symptoms

Using Purchasing, Version 12.X


Actual:
Using the demand workbench in the Buyer Work Center (BWC) to conduct the autocreate is ending in error.

Expected:
The demand workbench - autocreate - should not end in error - but should be successful in autocreating the requisitions to purchase orders.

Error:
Error Messsge: Unexpected error occurred during auto create


Replication:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Demand workbench
2. Select the requisition lines for autocreate - add
3. Find that the error occurs upon choosing create


Core Autocreate form is working properly and there is not an error.

FND_LOGGING revealed the following error message:
ORA-00001: unique constraint (PO.PO_LINES_U2) violated in Package po.plsql.PO_LINES_DRAFT_PKG. Procedure merge_changes.10;SQLERRM = ORA-00001: unique constraint (PO.PO_LINES_U2) violated
