Error ORA-20001 When Executing API Create Tax Balance Adjustment When SIT Amount Is Greater Than 0 (Doc ID 2241910.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 HRMS RUP 9 version, in all instances,

When executing the API 'PAY_US_TAX_BALS_ADJ_API', receive the following error:


ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-20001: SIT withheld entered for a state that does not have SIT tax. SIT Withheld entered for a state that does not have an SIT tax.. API not called.

This occurs when SIT amt is greater than 0. The API will complete successfully if the SIT is 0 or null.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Execute the API PAY_US_TAX_BALS_ADJ_API using the CREATE_TAX_BALANCE_ADJUSTMENT procedure with a SIT amount > 0
for an employee who lives and works in CA

2. Observe the error

Due to this issue, the API cannot be used to create balance adjustments for SIT for employees
