Qualifier Group Error After Converting From 12.1.3 to 12.2.5 - Attribute Qualifier Datatype is invalid. Please re-enter (Doc ID 2250312.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Pricing - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When trying to add an existing qualifier group (created in 12.1.3) to a modifier following error message is displayed

Attribute Qualifier Datatype is invalid. Please re-enter.

This message is coming up for all lines on the qualifier group that have Context = 'Order' and Attribute = 'Line Type'.
Once the user hits OK to each of these messages, the remaining qualifier group lines that deal with Modifier List/Price List and Customer/Customer Type and Order/Order Type show on the modifier as qualifiers from this qualifier group.
The lines with Order/Line Type do not appear on the list of qualifiers.
If you manually add the Order/Line Type to the qualifier list it works just fine.
This is only happening when you try to add a qualifier group.

1. Use Pricing responsibility
2. Navigate to the modifier setup
3. Attempt to attach an existing qualifier group and the error will occur
