Unable to Cancel Existing Orders or Approve New Orders Due to Unexpected Error During Tax Calculation

Symptoms

Problem1:

While attempting to approve a Purchase Order, the following error occurs:

Error Message: Unexpected error occurred during tax calculation.
Exception: 023 -Please correct the problem or contact your system administrator.

 

Problem2:

While attempting to cancel an existing Purchase Order, the following error occurs:

1. An unexpected error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.
2. User-Defined Exception in Package po.plsql.PO_DOCUMENT_CANCEL_PVT.Procedure cancel_tax_lines:000:1: User-Defined exception

Debug Log messages shows:

 


STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Problem1:
1. Using a Purchasing responsibility
2. Create a new Purchase Order
3. Attempt to submit the Purchase Order for approval-> error occurs
Error Message: Unexpected error occurred during tax calculation.
Exception: 023 -Please correct the problem or contact your system administrator.

Problem2:
1. Using a Purchasing responsibility
2. Query n existing Purchase Order
3. Attempt to cancel the Purchase Order->error occurs
1. An unexpected error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.
2. User-Defined Exception in Package po.plsql.PO_DOCUMENT_CANCEL_PVT.Procedure cancel_tax_lines:000:1: User-Defined exception
