Direct Earnings Attachments (DEA) Deducts Fee Twice In The Same Pay Period When a 'Process Separate Run' exists (Doc ID 2259488.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (UK) - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.4 version, UK Payroll

For employees who have a Direct Earnings Attachment element with a fee of £1 entered on the element entry,
When an employee has a 'Process Separate Run' element in the pay period (like a Bonus element) the £1 fee for the DEA is deducted on the Standard Run and AGAIN on the 'Process Separate Run'.
**Note that this double deduction of fees does not happen with element 'Court Order'. For element 'Court Order' the fee is only deducted once even when the Court Order element is processed for a second time in the 'Process Separate Run'.

Expect fee to be deducted only once in the Standard Run and should not be deducted in the 'Process Separate Run'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run a Quickpay regular salary element , Court Order Element with a fee of 1.00 and also with another Earnings element with 'Process Separate' set to 'Y".
2. Check the results see
Standard Run fee of 1.00 was deducted
'Process Separate Run a fee of 1.00 was also deducted
