R12 E-Business Suite Function Key Mappings Are Present In File 'fmrweb_utf8.res' After Database Character Set Conversion, However The Custom Function Key Mappings No Longer Work As Expected (Doc ID 2259871.1)

Last updated on MAY 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

E-Business Suite R12 Applications Technology Stack, Forms for Applications Technology Stack

Forms functional Key Mappings are not working for any language after a database Character Set Conversion.

Prior to the Character Set Conversion, the custom function key mappings were working correctly.

The seeded Function Key Mappings work both before the the Character Set Conversion and afterward.

All the custom mappings are still present in file fmrweb_utf8.res, but not are no longer recognized after the conversion.

For example the Database Character Set Conversion may have been performed from US7ASCII to AL32UTF8, and now custom Key mappings, e.g. F7 - Query mode, F8 - Update mode no longer work.
