Error When Trying To Update Asset In Self-service

When attempting to update some Asset Numbers in self service, the following error occurs.
You have encountered an unexpected error. Please contact the System Administrator for assistance. Click here for exception details.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Maintenance Super User
2. Navigate to Maintenance Super User > Assets – >Search for asset
3. Click on Update Asset Icon
4. Get the aforementioned error message.
