Defaulting Rules Are Not Working on Quote nor Quick Quote forms (Doc ID 2261954.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.1 to 12.2.6 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Create a new Defaulting Rule for field Order Type, using Validation Template 'In Negotiation Phase',
set the precedence of the new Rule to be a lower number (higher precedence) than the existing conditions.

Open the Quotes Form or the Quick Quotes Form
The field Order Type is defaulted using the new Rule defined, this is expected behavior.
However if any field for which Order Type has Dependency is updated, the Order Type is re-defaulted but this time the new rule is ignored and the Defaulting process uses
the 'old' (existing) Rules to calculate the value.
If the form is cleared, the Order Type is defaulted again using the new rule (with the Validation Template 'In Negotiation Phase').
