Digital Signature Verification Failed On IE11 With SHA-2 Certificate (Doc ID 2263118.1)

Symptoms

In 12.1.3, with SHA-2 Certificates verification of Digital signature is failing with below error on IE11 browser.

Verification of the signature has failed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Download and install SHA-2 certs in Internet Explorer 11 and upload them into database for a user (Example: OPERATIONS) using digsig utility.
1. Login to the 12.1.3 instance on IE11 Browser.
2. Launch dsig3 workflow for the user.
3. Login as the user: OPERATIONS
4. Open the Digsig notification from the worklist.
5. Click on Approve and then click on Sign.

Observe that an applet window opens if multiple certificates are there in the browser.

Select the above installed (SHA-2)certificate from the list and click ok.

Observe that verification is failed with error: Verification of the signature has failed

Installed SHA-2 certificate for the user
