E-Business Suite 12.2 Workflow, Workflow Mailer Advanced Queue issues
When attempting to connect to SMTP server, the following error occurs:
Validation Error Occurred
Status Information Could not handle the control event -> oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.SvcComponentContainerException: Could not start component; performing rollback -> oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.SvcComponentException: Validation failed for the following parameters -> {ACCOUNT=Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password., OUTBOUND_SERVER=Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password.}. Parameters were -> {RESET_NLS=N, FROM=Workflow Mailer, INBOUND_MAX_RET_EMAIL_SIZE=100, INBOUND_SSL_ENABLED=Y, CANCELED=WFMAIL:CANCELED, SEND_UNSOLICITED_WARNING=Y, OUTBOUND_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT=120, CLOSED=WFMAIL:CLOSED, NODENAME=WFMAIL, OUTBOUND_SERVER=smtp-relay.xxx.com, SUMMARY=WFMAIL:SUMMARY,
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
a. Workflow Administrator Web Applications Responsibility
b. Workflow Manager
c. Click on the Notification Mailers icon
d. Click on Workflow Notification Mailers link
e. Click on Edit
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot send email notifications
