E-Business Suite R12 Workflow, Workflow Administration Worklist issues

 

 

Notification search page encounters a "lock" when querying notifications via two different sessions for the Workflow sysadmin oracle administrator.

For example the following steps can be used to reproduce the problem:

SESSION 1
============
1. Log in as SYSADMIN
2. Workflow Administrator Web Applications
3. Administration
4. Notification Search
5. Enter the employee name
6. Click on Go

SESSION 2
==========
1. Log in as SYSADMIN
2. Workflow Administrator Web Applications
3. Administration
4. Notification Search
5. Enter the employee name
6. Click on Go

NOTE: Both sessions are using SYSADMIN user.


The problem does not happen when the customer uses two different users to query notifications in Notification Search page.

Before the upgrade, they were able to use the same user to query the notifications. We upgraded our database from version 11.2.0.2 to version 11.2.0.4 and applied April 2015 CPU's in February last besides there has been no change."

Issue is due to an uncommitted transaction resulting in row Locking for one of the DB tables.
