What Controls Batch Size, and Why Is My Batch Created for a Different Quantity than the Formula/Recipe Quantity? (Doc ID 2269851.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.2.6 version, Batches

For a specific recipe, when attempting to create a batch from the Recipe tab, the following error displays

ERROR
-----------------------
Scaled Quantity 1000 Kg is outside the validity rules imits of minimum 3000 Kg and maximum 9999999 Kg.

The formula product quantity, recipe quantity, and standard quantity on the validity rule are all set to 3280 Kg

Why is the batch being created for 1000 Kg?

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter recipe and version on Recipe tab of Create Batch screen

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot create batches this way for this recipe.
