Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2 Integrated SOA Gateway, Installation Issues

Users report an issue with JSON arrays returned by SOA Gateway (ISG) REST API's.

The JSON arrays being generated by Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG) REST API web service calls fail to return data in a proper array when a single record is returned.

When a single record is returned the array contains brackets { } instead of [ ].

What is returned for the JSON format depends on whether 1 record in an array is to be returned by the call, or if multiple records are to be returned in the array.

This is causing an inconsistency with message parsing.

The use of an array for a collection returned with a single record result should still use an array notation [ ].
