Symptoms

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY

In Oracle Payables, poor performance when attempting to close AP Period.

2. BUSINESS IMPACT
----------------------
Due to this issue, the current payables accounting period cannot be closed. Problematic transactions will have to be swept to the following period, which is not in agreement with the date in which the transactions occurred.

3. STEPS OR EVENTS THAT LEAD TO THE ISSUE OCCURRING
----------------------------------------------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Using Payables Manager responsibility
2) Attempt to close period.

Affecting Certain Users? The issue is consistently observed with all the users.
