Performance Issue With Mass Change Function In OM When Changing Ship To

We upgraded from 11i to R12. After that we are observing a Performance issue with Mass Change function in OM

When trying to process orders and trying to update the ship to address on the lines after creating a relationship with the school district, these orders has over 100 lines and it is taking us 8 or more hours to update the shipping address on the lines doing a mass change, and are continually getting timed out or kicked out of Oracle completely and having to start the process over again.

Not to take 8 hours plus to run mass change.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

The issue has the following business impact:
