GST : Reporting Code HSN on Item Classification not Working as Expected (Doc ID 2281914.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Financials for India - Version 12.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For Issue 1:
The actual issue is item HSN code was not defaulted on transactions even if it has been defined in item classification.

Issue 2:
Issue on the Item Classification form.:
While assigning HSN Code, the LOV shows all codes which are assigned to this reporting type. But if some any other random value is entered, system accepts it & saves it. It should accept only the value available in LOV & not any other random value like 0011 etc... This issue is observed on all versions of Item Classification form.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
As per my understanding record with jai_item_templ_hdr as entity_source_table value should be visible on item classification reporting code tab.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Under Reporting Codes tab of Item Classification Screen.
We see Reporting code data with null regime name, after further analyzing it, we found out that the record entity_source_table is other than Jai_item_templ_hdr i.e.JAI_TAX_DET_FACTORS etc.
