Symptoms

E-Business Suite 12.2.6 on Oracle Cloud, Machine Image related issues

 

 


Oracle E-Business Compute Cloud instance is not starting the instance successfully.

Users report downloading the 12.2.6 Oracle e-Business Demo install successfully, but once the instance is created the vision instance cannot be started successfully.

In some cases users may also report the instance starts but they are unable to change the passwords due to error:

'Node info file /u01/install/APPS/fs2/FMW_Home/Oracle_EBS-app1/applications/oacore/APP-INF/node_info.txt is not found'

It is expected that the EBS Cloud environment will work after the install.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Provision a Compute Cloud environment.
2. Complete the Install.
3. Attempt to start the Services or Login.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, unable to provision a Compute Cloud EBS environment.
