Default Contract On The Service Repair Order Does Not Get Removed When The Serial Number Is Changed (Doc ID 2281960.1)

When creating a repair service order using a serial number that is covered under a valid contract, the default contract number field on the service order is populated. However, in some situations the serial number is incorrect and a different serial number is received against the same service order. When this is done, the serial number on the service order gets updated automatically. However, the default contract that covered the original serial number remains on the service order even though the new serial number received is not covered on that contract.

Also, even though the new serial number is not covered under any contract , there is no way to remove the contract number from default contract number field.
