User Defined Attribute Not Populated When Creating Item With A Template Having UDA Default Value (Doc ID 2281974.1)

On : 12.2.6 version,

Actual Behavior

Creating an item, within an item catalog, and applying a template to setup initial user defined attribute (UDA) values for the new item.
Reviewing the item, find that the UDA values, set with default values in the template, are not populated. The UDA values remain NULL.

Expected Behavior

Expect the user defined attributes to be populated with values set as default in the item template.

Steps

Attribute Group Name: Vendors
Value Set: POC_XPRT_SUPPLIER

ICC: Audio Devices
Add attribute group: Vendors
Create item page: Vendor Name
Template: Purchased Items
Add Default Value for attribute group Vendors: Advantage Corp

Create Production Item: ABC-XYZ Test 1
Check 'Vendor Name' page, vendor name is not defaulted from the template

When creating the item, the attribute group default value is not assigned to the user defined attribute.
