Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

 Applications Management Pack E-Business Suite 12.1.0.4, Other issues

The E-Business Suite Applications Management Pack (AMP) plugin for Enterprise Manager (OEM) does not display the correct messages when concurrent manager nodes are down.

When a concurrent manager node is down, the (AMP) plugin alert message reports the "database is down" instead of the correct message "Concurrent Manager is down".

For Example, the AMP plugin will report the below details for a down concurrent manager node:

Host=server.oracle.com
Target type=Oracle Concurrent Manager
Target name=Inventory Manager
Categories=Availability
Message=Database is down
Severity=Fatal
Event reported time=Jul 4, 2017 5:00:00 AM CDT

Platform=x86_64
Associated Incident Id=7000000
Associated Incident Status=New

Database is down
Incident created by rule (Name = Incident management rule set for all
targets, Incident creation rule for a Target Down availability status [System
generated rule]).

Note the alert message also contains the database host name, instead of the Apps server host information when the agent is unable to make a connection.
