Cannot Create Attribute Group Database View Having View Name For Than 24 Characters (Doc ID 2284649.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 24, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Supplier Hub - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

From Supplier hub application when creating Attribute Group Database View, users are unable to give View name having more than
24 Character. The field in the application allows to enter 30 Characters in object name but application when saving truncates this to
24 characters.

In table ego_fnd_dsc_flx_ctx_ext where the DataBase view name is stored against an Attribute Group (agv_name), length of the column is
30 Char but the application is still truncating the value to 24 characters.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Supplier Management Responsibility.
2. Click on Administration> Profile Extension.
3. Select a Display Name and Generate Database View Event
4. Provide a View Name
5. Application is not accepting ‘XXXX_YY_YYY_TAX_EXEMP_XXX’. Application is only taking 24 Char and truncating the rest.
