12c Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Catalog Folders With Special Characters In The Folder Name Do Not Display In The BI Publisher Catalog (Doc ID 2290282.1)

Symptoms

Business Intelligence Publisher 12c, Desktop Tools related issues

 

 

 

Folders created in Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) are not displaying in the BI Publisher interface.

The issue only occurs for folder names which contain special characters (eg. %,#,&, etc). Once the special characters are removed from the folder name it is then visible in BI Publisher.

Many users are reporting OBIEE Catalog folders with special characters in the Folder name do not display in the BI Publisher Catalog.
