12.2 E-Business Suite HTTP Server Tier Upgrade To FMW Webtier 11.1.1.9 Fails To Start OPMN Following Step 3.2 Run Post Patching Tasks Per 1590356.1 (Doc ID 2290345.1)

E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications Technology Stack, HTTP Server issues

 

 



After upgrading the HTTP server Webtier, when attempting to start opmn the following error occurs:

[opmn] [ERROR:1] [] [internal] /fs1/FMW_Home/webtier/opmn/bin/opmn: unexpected exit: status 4200 opmnctl start: opmn failed to start.

Users report following step 'Step 3.2 Run Post Patching tasks' fails under section '3.2.2 Within a terminal window for each defined WebTier (primary and secondary)' #2  'Start the OPMN instance.'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Upgrade FMW Webtier per <Note 1590356.1> - Upgrading Oracle Fusion Middleware WebTier of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 to the latest 11gR1 (11.1.1.x) PatchSet (Doc ID 1590356.1)
2. Start OPMN per Step 3.2 section 3.2.2.
3. Confirm OPMN fails to start.
