Unable to Edit System Name In Oracle Installed Base (Doc ID 2291686.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Not able to edit System Name in the Install Base after profile "CSI: System Name Update Allowed" value setting to Yes

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect to be able to edit the System Name in Install Base after profile "CSI: System Name Update Allowed" value setting to Yes

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Oracle Installed Base Agent User > Item Instance > Systems > Create System
2. Returned to search screen and searched for System just created >  Click update icon
3. System name is not editable

 

 

Note: As a workaround, until patch is applied, the System name can be changed using the 11i JSP based pages using the "Install Base User" responsibility. You should be able to update the system name using this responsibility. However, please note, this obsolete 11i responsibility should not be used for any other purpose.
