Symptoms
When planning an Order with very high number of Ship Units on to Shipments, it is seen that result in term of transportation cost and container utilization is not optimal
An Example
------------
An order with 151 ship units to be planned and these ship units have all same LWH.
Based on the dimension, these ship units supposedly to be planned into 4 X15T trucks and 2 X10Trucks.
This is the optimized result in term of transportation cost and container utilization. (Transportation cost: 4 X$920 + 2X $800)
However, OTM planned this order into 5X15T trucks + 1X10T truck which is more expensive by $120 and also in term of container utilization from both weight and volume utilization, optimization was not achieved either.
