Last updated on MAY 05, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After Linux OS package updates, the Oracle Reports rwrun executable fails with:

"emsg:was terminated by [ signal 7 | signal 11 ]

...

Program was terminated by [ signal 7 | signal 11 ]

Concurrent Manager encountered an error while running Oracle*Report for your
concurrent request 1234567."

Note 1: Oracle Reports fails both via E-Business Suite (EBS) and at the OS command line, even after applying the environment variable REPORTS_JVM_OPTIONS
workaround, as per <Note 2285514.1>.  Manually trying to execute rwrun.sh or any of the other report executables throws a "Bus error".
