Bug OTA Process Create Too Many Database Inactive Session And The System Crashed. 'e::fwk:ota.player (Doc ID 2301060.1)

Symptoms

Weblogic Server 10.3.6


Issue started happening last Thursday and Friday when the learners started taking a mandatory course .

The oracore servers are hanging due to cannot resize buffer - 128

Database has not crashed
Database sessions=3200
OTA (Oracle Learning Management) process creates too many inactive session when learner start playing a course. Learner can launch and successfully play the course.
Middle tier is not able to handle load- that eventually pushes up to 3000 inactive session The middle tier refusing to make connections on exceeded sessions.

Additional, is this issue occurs instantly occurs after restart of the MS.

Workaround for now is: Monitor and Bounce the 2 Weblogic OACORE server .


Customer has set the following profiles "

ICX Session time out: 60 minutes
OTA Ping interval :10 minutes
OTA default player session length:120 minutes
OTA_PLAYER_TIMEOUT_MINUTES: 90 minutes

and bounced appsTier and started the course again.
Inactive connections are growing 2 per minute for 'e::fwk:ota.player.server.PlayerAM'
