‘Intended Use For Tax’ at Contract Level would not Default the Selected Value on the Streams (Doc ID 2302144.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Lease and Finance Management - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.6 version, Lease Authoring

Find that the value entered for ‘Intended Use for Tax’ at Contract level (Terms and Condition) does not get populated in line_intended_use column in RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL table for streams other than asset when billing is run.

If the "Intended Use for Tax" is entered at the asset level, that value gets populated in the line_intended_use column in RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL table for the Assets records.

Expect the "intended Use for Tax" value entered at T&C to carry over to line_intended_use column in RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL table

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Author a lease contract
2. In the T&C, Taxes and Duties, for field "Intended Use for Tax" choose a value from LOV, say "Agricultural"
3. Add the assets and go to the asset level, Taxes and Duties and add the same to the field "Intended Use for Tax"
4. Add a security deposit and an income fee to the contract
5. Book the contract
6. Run the billing request but put a hold on to the autoinvoice master program to examine the RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL table
7. Run the following sql:
select interface_line_attribute7, line_intended_use from RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL where interface_Line_attribute6 = '&Conrtact_number from step 1';
Notice that the Agricultural is populated for asset streams only and for security deposit and fee, the field shows as Null.
