Search Results Are Inconsistent For Item LOV In Materials Tab

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When trying to search for items under any of the self service tabs (e.g. work order tab), results are not consistent when using either '%' or no search criteria at all in the item field.
When using partial search (e.g. DX%) for item, the search results are ordered as expected.
When items are searched with '%' results are correctly ordered.
When items are search without any search criteria, then results are not displayed correctly.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Search results should be consistent for Item LOV in materials tab.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1 Go to any EAM Super use responsibility.
2 Search for any Work Orders
3 Click on update Work Order button
4 Go to materials tab
5 Add a row and click on Item LOV.
6. Once item LOV opens, click on Go button without giving any search criteria
7. Now give search criteria as '%' and click on Go button

Search result is inconsistent for step 6 and step 7
