Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to submit report sets using Report Manager, the optional parameters (non-required options such as content set, currency, row order, display set) that have been created as part of the report definition are not defaulting on the reports.
When submitting the report individually these optional parameters are selected and displayed appropriately.
Expect any optional parameters contained in the report definition to be defaulted when submitting using report sets.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (N) Report Manager Super User > Report Set Submission
2. Select Report Set from the list of values (LOV). The desired reports appear.
3. Select Update Parameters icon for responsibility.
4. The content set and row order are not defaulted to values defined in the report; they are blank.
It is possible to select the values from the LOV.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users need to take extra steps to select parameters when submitting report sets.
New report set submission functionality was introduced in release 12.2.
The issue did not occur in releases prior to 12.2 because there was no equivalent functionality of Report Set Submission.
This was introduced in 12.2 in place of the Publish Report Set option, avoiding the need to go to the forms user interface to run a report set and then come back to Report Manager to publish them.
