Applicant Hire Gives error The mandatory argument assignment_id has either not been specified or has been explicitly set to null in the API per_asg_shd.lck (Doc ID 2303133.1)

Symptoms

On (All Instances): 12.2.4 version, Hire, CWK Placement, Appl Hire

After final approver approves the Hire transaction notification, the following error occurs.

The mandatory argument assignment_id value cannot be null
Cause: The mandatory argument assignment_id has either not been specified or has been explicitly set to null in the API per_asg_shd.lck .
Action: Either specify a value for the assignment_id argument which is not null or contact your local support representative.

 


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Submit a New Hire transaction.
2. Have it approved by the final approver.
3. Transaction Errors.
4. There is no error while hiring the same person using People -> Maintain Using Templates -> Hire Applicants.
