Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Incorrect Element Entry when making mid year changes and Enrollment Rate Frequency is set to 'Per Month'

Symptoms


When the Enrollment Rate/Frequency is 'Per Month' and mid year changes are made to coverage amount of Flexible Spending Account(FSA), the element entry value is incorrect.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Resp: US Super HRMS Manager.

Navigate: People > Benefits Service Center

  1. Query a new employee.
  2. Process New Hire life event on 01-May-20XX.
  3. Access the enrollment form, elect FSA for annual coverage amount 1000 and save.
  4. Click the Other button > All rates.
  5. Verify the defined, communicated values are correct in their respective tabs.
  6. Exit the form.


Navigate: People > Enter and Maintain

  1. Query the employee.
  2. Click Assignment button > Entries button and select the FSA element.
  3. Verify the element entry value is correct.


Navigate: People > Benefits Service Center

  1. Query the employee.
  2. Process a life event on 01-Sep-20XX.
  3. Access the enrollment form and increase the FSA coverage amount to 2000.
  4. Click the Other button > All rates.
  5. Verify the defined, communicated values are correct in their respective tabs.
  6. Exit the form.


Navigate: People > Enter and Maintain

  1. Query the employee.
  2. Click Assignment button > Entries button and select the FSA element.
  3. Verify the element entry value is incorrect.


Setup Used:

1. Payroll = Semi-Monthly
2. Program Activity Reference Period = Monthly
3. Program Enrollment Rate/Frequency = Per Month
4. Value passed to payroll = Estimated Per Pay Period
