DB Is Locked by Shipping Transactions Form : Serial Entry So That Dead Lock Will Happen if User Is Doing Operation in Packing Workbench in the Same Time (Doc ID 2309683.1)

Actual Behavior
DB lock happens if Shipping Transactions Form : Serial Entry window is opened and then closed without changing any data.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Pick sales order against serial controlled item

  2. Open Shipping Transactions Form

  3. Query the sales order

  4. Open Serial Entry window by clicking Tools : Serial Numbers

  5. Click Cancel button, so Serial Entry window is closed
    User is doing this because he just wants to check the picked serial numbers.
    User doesn't want to change any data.

  6. Close Shipping Transactions Form
    No data is changed, but below popup is showing: Do you want to save the changes you have made?

Due to above behavior, Dead Lock Will Happen if User Is Doing Operation in Packing Workbench in the Same Time.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Item: SY Serial Item Pack Test (Serial Controlled)
Serial Numbers : SY-SN-0822-01 - SY-SN-0822-10

Clear Navigator : Tools : Close Other Forms

  1. Create Sales Order : 69488, Ordered Quantity : 3

  2. Pick Release the Sales Order

  3. Compete the pick task through MSCA
    Serial numbers: SY-SN-0822-01, SY-SN-0822-02, SY-SN-0822-03
    Picked into LPN274A

  4. Open Shipping Transactions Form
    Query Sales Order : 69488
    Click Tools : Serial Numbers
    Serial Entry window is showing picked serial numbers: SY-SN-0822-01, SY-SN-0822-02, SY-SN-0822-03

  5. Open Packing Workbench
    Choose Packing Station
    Select Source : Outbound
    Select Packing Process : LPN Split
    Enter Document Source : Sales Order : 69488
    Press Find

  6. In LPN Split window:
    Generate Into LPN
    Scan From LPN: LPN274A
    Scan the Serial Number: Any one of the 3 serial numbers

  7. Click Close LPN
    Form is locked permanently.
    User has to close the whole browser forcefully to terminate the java(all the forms).
