Failed to Configure IMAP Server With Office365 Server (Doc ID 2309700.1)

On : 12.1.3 version, Workflow Mailer

Workflow mailer is not coming up and stopped.

Validation failed for the following parameters -> {ACCOUNT=Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password.}. Parameters were -> {RESET_NLS=N, FROM=Workflow Mailer (UTKPROD), INBOUND_MAX_RET_EMAIL_SIZE=100, INBOUND_SSL_ENAB

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Whenever configuring Office365 as IMAP server .

Below connectivity command fails

$AFJVAPRG -classpath $AF_CLASSPATH -Dprotocol=imap -Ddbcfile=$FND_SECURE/$TWO_TASK.dbc -Dport=993 -Dsecurity=TLS -Dtruststore=$AF_JRE_TOP/lib/security/cacerts -Daccount=<username> -Dpassword=<password> -Dconnect_timeout=120 -Ddebug=Y -Dlogfile=IMAPTLSTest.log, Logger, Properties)]:Test did not complete successfully -> javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed.
Stack Trace
javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed.

Due to this issue, users cannot  configure cloud server as IMAP server and inbound processing fails.


Changes Done Before the Issue:

++Customer Mentioned that after applying CPU Patches 3 days ago, Mailer was not coming up and showed error that Password has expired.

++After this IMAP Administrator gave correct password-->They brought up the Mailer and it was running good for 8 hours. But he is not sure if Emails were sent during that time.
