MFS MP Debrief Allows Users To Enter Non Existing Serial Numbers (Doc ID 2311327.1)

On : 12.1.3  MFS MP

When attempting to complete a debrief from MFS MP ( MultiPlatform) with a non existent serial number it fails with the following error:

An instance could not be found for the item and location information provided. Item ID: XXXXXX. Organization ID: XXXX. (SUBINV=XXXXXXX) (LOCATOR=)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From MFS Add a material debrief line
2. Select the Serial number LOV,   ( contains values)   but enter a value that does not exist
3. Complete the debrief and sync
4. Error occurs.
