R12 E-Business Suite User Management New User Creation Workflow Process Fails With Error 'ORA-06550 - PLS-00302: Component 'LAUNCH_RESETPWD_WF' Must Be Declared' And No Email Notification Is Sent To The User (Doc ID 2313162.1)

E-Business Suite R12 User Management, Forgot Password Workflows and Business Events issues





When creating a user via the User Management (UMX) (Internal or External Organization Contact Registration process), the user is created but the parent workflow fails with the following error:

'ORA-06550 - PLS-00302: component 'LAUNCH_RESETPWD_WF' must be declared'

No e-mail is sent to this new user with the login credentials or failure notifications.

Further review of the issue shows the following after checking the log FNDCPGSC100000.txt:

>$ grep PLS-00302 FNDCPGSC100000.txt
1, column 29:PLS-00302: component 'LAUNCH_RESETPWD_WF' must be
PLS-00302: component 'LAUNCH_RESETPWD_WF' must be declared

The FNDCPGSC log may grow in size and display the following message repeatedly:

Event Error Message: 3142: Process &#39;UMXREGWF/40000&#39; has no activities waiting to receive event &#39;oracle.apps.fnd.umx.startaccountrequestwf&#39;.<BR>
Wf_Engine.Event(UMXREGWF, 40000, SELF_SERVICE_ACCOUNT_REQUEST, oracle.apps.fnd.umx.startaccountrequestwf)


Applied <Patch 25449171> - ORACLE APPLICATIONS RELEASE 12.1: CPU PATCH FOR APR 2017, which contains a new version of file UMXMRGWF.wft 120.8.12010000.4.
